Greg Brewer joins his dear friend Adam Lee for a tasting and wine discussion on December 9th.
We cordially invite you to join via Zoom and participate in what is always a lively and lighthearted engagement between two of California’s premier Pinot Noir producers.
Greg has chosen a special trio of wines that highlight the seminal moments in his career:
– 2009 Sweeney Canyon Vineyard Chardonnay
– 2011 Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay
– 2014 Machado Vineyard Pinot Noir
2009 Chardonnay Sweeney Canyon
We began working with Sweeney Canyon at our very inception. In 1996 it was the only site in the quartet of wines that we made that came from what would become Sta. Rita Hills even though we knew that our eventual goal was to only work in this area.
2014 Pinot Noir Machado
In the early years of the Sta. Rita Hills, it was difficult to secure grapes as there were so little of them and as they were in high demand. The Machado family has been integral in the growth of Brewer-Clifton, through their support and trust.
2011 Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills
For the first eleven years of BC, we exclusively made vineyard specific wines. In 2007 we came to the realization that it was important to tell the message of Sta. Rita Hills as more of a whole than just the deconstructed parts.
